Confederacao Brasileira De Desportos Aquaticos, also known as CBDA, is a state-owned entity headquartered in Brazil. Founded in 1977 as the Brazilian Swimming Confederation (CBN) after dismembering from the Brazilian Sports Confederation, the organization, which employs approximately 100 individuals, was renamed in 1988 to reflect its expanded scope. Functioning as the governing body of aquatic sports in Brazil, its activities include sports tickets, merchandise, and sponsorship. CBDA oversees modalities such as swimming, open water, water polo, diving, and artistic swimming, with all 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District currently affiliated as federations.
