World Aquatics, formerly known as FINA, is the international governing body for aquatic sports, including swimming, diving, water polo, synchronized swimming, and open water swimming. It was founded in 1908 and is headquartered in Switzerland. The organization is responsible for setting the rules and regulations for these sports, as well as organizing and overseeing international competitions, such as the World Aquatics Championships and the Olympic Games. World Aquatics has a membership of over 200 national federations and boasts a staff of approximately 230 employees.
