International Basketball Federation, also known as FIBA, is a privately owned organization headquartered in Switzerland. Founded in 1932, it employs approximately 1,460 individuals. This followed a September 1, 2025, agreement where the Organizing Committee of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qatar 2027 signed a cooperation and cultural partnership with the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, the Qatar Basketball Federation, and the FIBA Foundation. This partnership aims to strengthen the tournament's cultural and heritage dimension ahead of the 2027 event.
