Gravity Media, in collaboration with Focal Point VR, Ateme, Bluebell Opticom, and Blackmagic Design, will unveil a production-grade live immersive media platform at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, running from September 11 to 14, 2026. This initiative will demonstrate a field-tested live immersive VR workflow for sports and music coverage, integrating professional broadcast production, ultra-high-resolution capture, SFS optimisation, MV-HEVC encoding, and fibre connectivity. Previously, on September 7, 2026, Gravity Media appointed Alex Pannell as its new Chief Business Officer. Pannell joined the company in September for this newly created role, where he will work alongside the leadership team and regional business units to support commercial development, improve collaboration across markets, and identify new commercial opportunities within Gravity Media’s global operations. He joins from Appear, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer, and will be based in London.
