News Summary:

On April 22, 2026, Sky announced the fifth year of its WNT Fund, reaffirming its commitment to supporting Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team players and the grassroots football clubs where their journeys began with a €30,000 bursary. Previously, on March 31, Sky Sports and NOW secured a multi-year deal with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) to exclusively broadcast two all-female UK fight nights annually, making them the home of MVP’s new women’s boxing platform, MVPW, in the UK and Ireland. The first UK event for MVPW is scheduled for April 5 at London’s Olympia. This follows the March 30 announcement that Karen Blackett CBE joined Sky's Diversity Advisory Council, bringing extensive executive leadership experience from the creative media and advertising industries. Earlier, effective March 1, 2026, Barny Mills, the current Sky Deutschland chief executive, was appointed Sky Group Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer New Business for Sky Group. Mills will continue to lead Sky Deutschland until its sale to RTL Group is completed, pending regulatory approvals, with the combined responsibilities aiming to focus on strategic growth and core business performance.
