Zattoo, also known as ZATTOO the TV platform, is a privately owned company headquartered in Switzerland, with offices in Germany and the United States. Founded in 2005, with approximately 250 employees, the company reported $50.0M in revenue as of 2024, functioning as a tier 2 media tech buyer. Zattoo operates as a virtual pay-TV operator, also providing B2B services that include selling OVP solutions to IPTV and OTT operators.
On September 8, 2026, Zattoo showcased four streaming prototypes developed during its internal Hackdays at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, including a Media over QUIC-based live delivery system engineered to reduce streaming latency to approximately two seconds. This followed the September 2 deployment by Estonian telco Elisa Eesti of Zattoo Orchestrate into full production as the platform layer for its Elisa Elamus TV service, allowing Elisa to modernize its TV infrastructure without replacing existing apps, devices, or underlying infrastructure. Earlier, on August 11, Zattoo and Teleboy extended their partnership in the Swiss TV and streaming market, renewing both technology and advertising agreements, with Zattoo continuing to provide technology for Teleboy’s streaming service and enabling the marketing of Teleboy’s advertising inventory via Digital Ad Substitution (DAS). Previously, on June 17, Zattoo partnered with marketing company Stroer to expand its advertising business in Germany, making Stroer responsible for external sales of Zattoo's video and Connected TV (CTV) inventory in the country. This partnership strengthened Zattoo's position in the CTV market and followed Ströer becoming the exclusive advertising sales partner for Zattoo in Germany on June 15, gaining access to the TV streaming provider’s addressable video inventory across various devices.
