Critical Role

Critical Role is a privately owned company headquartered in the United States. Founded in 2015, the company employs approximately 100 individuals, focusing its operations on other media. What began in 2012 as a roleplaying game among friends has evolved into a multiplatform entertainment entity with a variety of shows, including the flagship show Critical Role, comic books, graphic novels, animation, live performances, and podcasts. Led by veteran voice actor Matthew Mercer and composed of voice actors Ashley Johnson, Marisha Ray, Taliesin Jaffe, Travis Willingham, Sam Riegel, Laura Bailey, and Liam O'Brien, Critical Role presents an adventure through the fantasy world of Exandria to its audience. Beyond its main campaigns, the company has expanded its universe with projects such as "The Legend of Vox Machina" animated series on Amazon Prime Video, the publishing imprint Darrington Press, and the boutique streaming service Beacon. Critical Role also operates the Critical Role Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to partnering with non-profit organizations to make a positive impact.
