Owned by GMR Group and JSW Sports, the organization was founded in 2008 and operates with approximately 160 employees. The team competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) from its home ground, Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, and offers sports tickets, merchandise, and sponsorship as its main products. The team appeared in its first IPL final in 2020 against Mumbai Indians.
