News Summary:
The SMPTE Hollywood Chapter is hosting free events on film and digital preservation in February and March, targeting archivists, engineers, technologists, and post-production creators. Previously, on January 25, 2026, Digital Bedrock CEO Linda Tadic was scheduled to lead a breakfast roundtable discussion at the HPA Tech Retreat on February 17, focusing on the differences among backup, archiving, restoration, and preservation. In November 2025, Tadic was slated to present in two sessions at the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) conference in Baltimore on December 4th and 5th. One session, “It’s All On Tape: Case Studies in LTO Technology,” was to describe Digital Bedrock’s use of LTO as its preservation storage media and provide LTO technology updates. Digital Bedrock also returned as a sponsor for AMIA's annual conference, which took place in Baltimore from December 2-5. Earlier, on October 22, 2025, Tadic contributed two sections to the recently published book “Digital Asset Management for Museums,” covering digital preservation and a spotlight on digital asset management (DAM) and the environment.
