Previously, on July 14, 2026, the company initially announced these three LTO archive appliances, which are capable of managing highly scalable LTO libraries, with an example illustrating the X50 V3 Appliance managing a 2.1 PB LTO library expandable to over 16 PB. The appliances combine file and object archive access within a single tape archive, storing data on LTO data tape in robotic libraries, stand-alone drives, on-premises disk-based object storage, or public cloud object storage.
