Founded in Hamburg in 1910 as Parfümerie Douglas, the company is headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany and employs approximately 5,450 people. While previously part of Douglas Holding, since June 1, 2015, its ownership has been divided between CVC Capital Partners (85%) and the Kreke family (15%).
