Douglas is a German multinational perfumery and cosmetics chain, legally structured as a publicly owned company and headquartered in Germany. Founded in 1910 with the opening of the first "Parfümerie Douglas" in Hamburg, the company employs approximately 5,450 individuals and specializes in retail. While previously part of Douglas Holding, since June 1, 2015, 85 percent of Douglas GmbH has belonged to financial investor CVC Capital Partners and 15 percent to the Kreke family.
