Food authority Eater is bringing its annual tentpole event "Off Menu" to Los Angeles on September 19 at the Tam O’Shanter restaurant, aiming to highlight current and future dining scene trends. Previously, on July 18, Eater announced "The Eater World’s Fare Global Culinary Celebration" in New York City during the World Soccer Championship. This event, described as Eater's largest festival ever, will feature dozens of restaurant pop-ups and immersive food experiences representing more than 20 nations, with culinary programming including chefs such as Shota Nakajima and Calvin Eng. This follows news from June 10, when a group of former Eater staffers began discussing the creation of their own website after experiencing layoffs at the company, with Courtney E. Smith recalling the initiative.
