The Emirates Racing Authority (ERA) recorded a significant increase in participation for its sale on the Tattersalls Online platform, which ran from March 26 to April 1, 2026. The sale attracted 221 registered bidders from around the world, representing a 154% increase compared to the average ERA live sale registrations over the last five years. Previously, on February 12, 2026, Mohammad Al Shehhi, Director General of the Emirates Racing Authority and chair of the Gulf Horseracing Council, unveiled a new strategy for Middle Eastern racing jurisdictions at the Asian Racing Conference in Riyadh. This initiative includes six cross-border deals. This announcement followed the re-election of Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, also a Director-General and Board Member of the Emirates Racing Authority, as Vice-Chairman of the Asian Racing Federation for a second consecutive term on February 11, 2026, during the federation's meeting in Riyadh.
