Federation Congolaise de Football Association, a state-owned entity based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, founded in 1919 with approximately 30 employees, operates as the governing body for football in the country. Specializing in the sport of soccer, the organization, also known by its French name Fédération Congolaise de Football-Association or the acronym FECOFA, became affiliated with FIFA in 1964 and CAF in 1964. It is responsible for organizing the national football league Linafoot and managing the national team.
