Earlier in March, the FRU began implementing three key policies—the Safeguarding Policy, Workplace Harassment Policy, and Gender-Based Violence Policy—aimed at strengthening governance, workplace protection, and player welfare across Fiji rugby, which its Board endorsed in November of the previous year. This followed the FRU's decision on February 23 to cede home advantage for the Fiji Water Flying Fijians' three July Nations Championship matches against England, Scotland, and Wales. The Union opted to play these "home" fixtures in the Northern Hemisphere, stating it was a "groundbreaking development" to take fans on a "unique journey," largely due to the greater earning potential of hosting matches in Britain compared to the Pacific island.
