Fiji Rugby Union, a privately owned entity headquartered in Fiji, was founded in 1954 and operates with approximately 70 employees. The organization is dedicated to promoting the appreciation of the sport of rugby union in Fiji. It manages national teams including the Flying Fijians, Fijiana, Fijian Sevens, and Fijiana Sevens, in addition to overseeing domestic competitions such as the Skipper Cup Competition, Vodafone Vanua Championship, the Farebrother Challenge, Secondary Schools Deans Championship, and the ANZ Marama Championship.
Fiji Rugby announced a new partnership with Dulux Fiji on August 9, which will see Rugby House and the High-Performance Unit Gym undergo refurbishment. This followed confirmation on the same day that Aaron Mauger resigned from his position as Assistant Coach of the Fiji Water Flying Fijians with immediate effect, less than five weeks before the team's Pacific Nations Cup title defense. Mauger cited personal considerations for his departure. Earlier, on August 4, the union appointed Willie Walker as the new head coach of the Fijiana XV, noting his previous success in leading the Blues Women's team to three consecutive Super Rugby Aupiki titles. In June, Fiji Rugby also named the SportsWorld Fijian Under-20 squad set to represent the country at the 2026 World Rugby Under-20 Championship in Georgia.
