Finetwork is a Privately Owned company headquartered in Spain. Founded in 2015, the company employs approximately 300 individuals and functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. It specializes in media and TV services, operating as a triple-play service provider offering internet, TV, and voice services.
Vodafone recently commissioned a forensic expert report on May 21, 2026, to ascertain Finetwork's actual financial and operational state prior to the operator assuming management control of the company. This move follows the Spanish communications and markets regulator CNMC's authorization in November 2025 for Vodafone Spain (Zegona) to acquire mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Finetwork by capitalizing its outstanding debts. The regulator's approval came after Finetwork initiated a pre-bankruptcy proceeding in Alicante in May 2025 concerning unpaid amounts owed to Vodafone, which served as its long-time fiber and mobile network provider. Earlier, in July 2025, Spanish infrastructure fund Asterion reportedly reached an agreement in principle to acquire Finetwork for approximately EUR 300 million, a figure comprising EUR 200 million plus over EUR 100 million in debt. That proposed deal, with Asterion-owned conglomerate Olin Group, also included around EUR 70 million owed by Finetwork to Vodafone Spain.
