On March 7, 2026, Rakuten TV will explore its use of content delivery networks (CDNs) for delivering VOD libraries and FAST channels in a multi-CDN setup, also addressing the evolving role of CDNs in video delivery. Previously, on February 6, 2026, Virgin Media TV added new Rakuten TV FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) channels at no extra cost, expanding its offering to 40 FAST channels accessible in Virgin Media’s TV guide and searchable via voice control.
