Fuji Television Network, a privately owned company and subsidiary of Fuji Media Holdings, is headquartered in Japan. Founded in 1957, the company employs approximately 230 individuals and reported $1.4B in revenue as of 2024. Functioning as a tier 1 media tech buyer, Fuji Television Network specializes in broadcast television and radio. It operates as a Japanese television station, often referred to as Fuji TV, serving the Kantō region as the flagship station of the Fuji News Network (FNN) and the Fuji Network System (FNS). The station is owned-and-operated by Fuji Television Network, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fuji Media Holdings, a certified broadcasting holding company under the Japanese Broadcasting Act, and is affiliated with the Fujisankei Communications Group. Its headquarters are located in the Fuji Broadcasting Center in Odaiba, Minato, Tokyo, establishing it as one of the five private broadcasters based in Tokyo.
Fuji Media Holdings Inc. reported its first full-year operating loss since becoming a certified holding company for broadcasting operations in 2008, logging a consolidated operating loss of 8.77 billion yen for the year ending March 2026. This swung from an 18.29 billion yen profit the previous year, with the company attributing the downturn to the lingering impact of a sexual misconduct scandal that affected its TV advertising revenues. Previously, on May 3, Fuji TV began implementing police-style investigative tactics to curb internal information leaks, reportedly scrutinizing employees' personal smartphones. Earlier, on April 30, Fuji Television announced its participation in the Withal Multi Circular Economy project, becoming the first television broadcaster to join the initiative, which commenced on May 1 to recycle discarded clothing and textiles into new resources. On April 13, the Fuji TV YouTube channel “World Buzz Channel” debuted the World Buzz Festival 2026 – Global Food Expo, an event gathering food trucks in Odaiba starting May 1.
