Pete Russell, a member of the original founding team, announced his decision on September 24, 2026, to step back from his full-time role as Chief Executive Officer of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), following a successful Republic Bank CPL season. The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons were crowned Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League champions for the first time on September 20, defeating the Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets at the Kensington Oval, an achievement solidified by an unbeaten 89-run partnership and Sufyan Moqim's 4 for 14. This followed the Jamaica Kingsmen's advancement to the 2026 Republic Bank CPL final on September 18, after they overcame the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Earlier on September 17, the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons became the first team to book their place in the CPL final with a nine-wicket victory over the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Also on September 17, the Guyana Amazon Warriors claimed their maiden Limacol Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) crown, securing a two-wicket victory over the Trinbago Knight Riders, with Chedean Nation leading a comeback with 74 runs from 46 balls.
