Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network, also known as HITN, is a Privately Owned organization headquartered in the United States. Founded in 1981, the organization employs approximately 100 individuals. Functioning as a non-profit, HITN is dedicated to promoting the educational, cultural, and socio-economic aspirations of U.S. Hispanics, utilizing platforms such as search, social, and retail media in its operations.
HITN participated in Mexico’s Independence Day celebration in Sunset Park on September 16, 2026, joining the Mexican Consulate in New York for an afternoon featuring music, dance, and Mexican traditions with residents, community organizations, local businesses, and media outlets. Previously, on September 11, the organization attended the Raíces Gala 2026 in Chicago, where the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture (NMPRAC) received accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), a distinction presented by AAM President Marilyn Jackson. Earlier in September, HITN continued its school supply donation program, providing kits to students from families with limited resources in communities across New York and Puerto Rico, supporting education in Hispanic communities as families prepared for the new school year. This followed HITN's participation in New York City's annual Summer Streets program on August 8, which converts portions of major roadways into open public spaces. On August 3, HITN donated 50 iPads to WHIN Music Community Charter School in Washington Heights, providing new technology for students' classroom instruction.
