On August 8, 2026, HITN joined New Yorkers on Summer Streets, participating in the annual New York City Department of Transportation program that transforms city streets into open public spaces on select Saturdays. Previously, on August 3, HITN donated 50 iPads to WHIN Music Community Charter School in Washington Heights, providing new technology to support students' classroom instruction for the upcoming school year. Earlier, on July 21, HITN celebrated the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture (NMPRAC) in Chicago receiving accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), the highest recognition awarded to U.S. museums that meet national standards for governance, collections stewardship, education, financial sustainability, and public service.
