HTC, also known as Horry Telephone Cooperative, is a non-profit organization headquartered in the US. Founded in 1952, the company employs approximately 280 individuals and provides comprehensive communications and telecommunications services.
On March 24, 2026, HTC, the largest telecommunications cooperative in the United States, held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its newly renovated Georgetown retail office, preparing the space to welcome members and the community. Earlier, on March 9, the area's largest fiber internet provider partnered with Stella’s Homemade Ice Cream to create three new limited-edition flavors based on Girl Scout cookies, with proceeds benefiting area Girl Scout troops. A spirit night was scheduled for March 12 at Stella’s locations in Conway and Murrells Inlet.
