On March 25, 2026, Ikegami Tsushinki Co. Ltd. announced the MKC-835S, a new high-specification 4K medical-grade camera combining 3840 × 2160 pixel resolution with increased sensitivity through three 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensors. Concurrently, Ikegami USA stated its intent to demonstrate latest-generation TV production cameras, controllers, and monitors at the NAB Show in Las Vegas from April 19-22, 2026. Previously, on February 8, the Paul E. Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell incorporated four Ikegami UHK-X600 studio/portable cameras into its broadcast television production facilities for televising sports, stage performances, and public presentations. This followed an announcement on February 4 that Secuoya Chile invested in Ikegami UHK-X600 and UHL-X40 broadcast cameras as part of a major upgrade to its headquarters facilities in Santiago. Earlier in the year, on January 15, Sabang Merauke Eye Center (SMEC) in Indonesia selected an Ikegami MKC-X200 Full HD camera for integration with ophthalmic surgical microscopes, primarily for cataract surgery.
