IWM, also known as Imperial War Museums, is a non-profit organization headquartered in the UK, founded in 1917, and employs approximately 550 individuals. The organization's main product offerings include museums, historical sites, and zoos, focusing on exploring the causes of war and its impact on people’s lives.
On February 4, 2026, Imperial War Museums highlighted the career of James Taylor, who began working in the museum's library and later joined the curatorial team for the Holocaust Exhibitions at IWM London and IWM North starting in 1996. Taylor subsequently led the curatorial team responsible for identifying and interpreting objects for display in the permanent biographical Churchill Museum located at Churchill War Rooms. This followed a contract award notice published on February 1, 2026, for a contractor to undertake the removal and disposal of asbestos from the sub-basement of the Churchill War Rooms. Also on February 1, Imperial War Museums published a tender notice for an AV Media Design Framework. Earlier, on January 20, 2026, the museum issued a tender notice for a supplier to provide audio-visual hardware for the Digital Zone project at IWM Duxford.
