Indian Ministry of Tourism, also known as MOTI, is a State-Owned entity headquartered in India. Founded in 1967, it functions as the apex body for the formulation and administration of the rules, regulations, and laws relating to the development and promotion of tourism within India.
On December 15, 2025, the Indian Ministry of Tourism intensified its efforts to promote India as a premier tourist destination in key international markets. This strategy involves collaboration with Indian Missions abroad, as well as private and government stakeholders, including state governments and union territories. Previously, on December 11, 2025, the Ministry unveiled new initiatives to promote a variety of tourism offerings across the country, with a particular focus on spiritual and cultural tourism. These efforts include actively participating in travel events and exhibitions, collaborating with state governments to organize fairs and festivals, and inviting influencers, journalists, and tour operators through its Hospitality Programme to showcase India's rich heritage and landscapes.
