On February 5, 2026, Singapore's state broadcaster Mediacorp secured a media rights deal with FIFA, covering multiple tournaments including the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Under the agreement, which extends through 2028, Mediacorp will broadcast all 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, screening 28 of them live on free-to-air platforms, including both semi-finals and the final. This deal triples its free-to-air World Cup output.
