Information and Communication Technologies Authority (Turkey), also known as BTK, is a state-owned entity headquartered in Turkey. Established in 2000, it employs approximately 1330 individuals. Functioning as the national regulatory body for the telecommunications and information technology sectors in Turkey, the authority is responsible for ensuring fair competition, managing the country’s frequency spectrum, and protecting consumer rights within the digital ecosystem. BTK oversees a range of services, including the licensing of mobile and fixed-line operators, the regulation of postal services, and the implementation of cybersecurity protocols through its National Cyber Incident Response Center (USOM). By monitoring infrastructure and setting technical standards, the agency facilitates the development of modern communication networks and digital transformation across the country.
