Instituto Nacional de Radio y Television del Peru

Instituto Nacional de Radio y Television del Peru, also known as The National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru or IRTP, is a state-owned organization headquartered in Peru. Founded in 1994, succeeding the Empresa de Cine, Radio y Televisión del Perú which was established in 1973, it employs approximately 350 individuals and reported $27.5M in revenue as of 2024. Functioning as a tier 2 media tech buyer, the organization specializes in broadcast television and radio. It operates as a specialized technical agency under the Ministry of Culture, executing communication activities that promote culture, values, and identity through pluralistic and objective information. The institution manages a multi-platform network including TVPerú (the country's oldest television station), TVPerú Noticias, Canal IPe (aimed at children and youth), TVPerú Internacional, and Radio Nacional del Perú (the first radio station established in the country).
