The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) announced a four-year extension to its broadcasting deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, ensuring continued coverage of major sport climbing events on European channels and apps. Separately, Warner Bros. Discovery signed a four-year agreement with the IFSC to exclusively broadcast all IFSC Climbing and Para Climbing World Cup and World Championship events across Europe on its Max and Discovery+ streaming services. In May, the IFSC hosted a Speed Climbing World Cup event in Denver, Colorado from May 31 to June 1. The IFSC also collaborated with the Venezuelan Federation of Sport Climbing to support a National Certification of Sport Climbing Coaches (Level 1) course held May 22–23. Finally, the IFSC welcomed the announcement that Para Climbing events will be held at the Convention Center Lot in Long Beach, California during the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
