Employing approximately 10 people, the ISMF serves as the international governing body for ski mountaineering competitions. As of 2023, it is led by a 13-member council.
The International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) announced a four-year partnership with Pelliot, designating the brand as the federation’s Exclusive Apparel Partner, on September 9, 2025.
