Jamuna Group

Jamuna Group, a privately owned conglomerate headquartered in Bangladesh, was founded in 1974 by industrialist Nurul Islam Babul. The group began operations with Jamuna Electric Manufacturing Co. Ltd. and over five decades expanded into diverse sectors including textiles, chemicals, leather, real estate, beverages, electronics, retail, and mass media. Its mass media and publishing portfolio, which encompasses broadcast television and radio as a main product, operates primarily under Jamuna Television Ltd. and is overseen by Salma Islam, Group Chairman, following the death of founder Nurul Islam Babul in 2020. The group operates out of the Jamuna Future Park Complex in Dhaka.
