The Jockey Club of Turkey (TJK), a privately owned entity founded in 1950, is the sole organization in Turkey authorized to conduct horse races and manage pari-mutuel betting. Employing approximately 150 people as of 2023, its headquarters are located in Turkey. The TJK's primary activity is the organization and operation of spectator sports centered around horse racing.
The Jockey Club of Turkey announced on December 6th that Daredevil, a Grade 1-winning son of More Than Ready, returned to Turkey. Belardo, the 2014 Dewhurst Stakes (G1) winner and sire of Red Lion and Gold Phoenix, was sold to continue his stud career at Yigit Stud in conjunction with the Jockey Club of Turkey. Additionally, Time Test, a dual Group 2 winner and sire, will continue his stud career in Turkey. The Jockey Club of Turkey also signed a collaboration with 1/ST Content-Technology (AmTote) and B2E partnership, enabling international live broadcasts of Turkish horse races.
