KADOKAWA Corporation announced the launch of "Oshi no Ko: Puzzle Star," a match-3 puzzle game based on the "Oshi no Ko" anime series, on February 25, 2026, for Android and iOS in Japan. Developed by NHN, this title marks the first puzzle game for the anime. Earlier on February 19, "The Duskbloods," one of the company's anticipated games, received its first eShop listing, suggesting it remains on track for a 2026 release, after its absence from Nintendo's recent third-party Direct. Previously, on February 17, KADOKAWA subsidiary Niconico experienced a loss of 116,000 premium users within a year, primarily due to technical issues with international credit card payments. This follows KADOKAWA's financial report on February 16, which showed profits plummeted by approximately 60% between April and December 2025. The company attributed this operating loss to its strategy of focusing on new anime stories over continuations of established series. Earlier in the month, on February 13, KADOKAWA confirmed "Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition" and "The Duskbloods" are still slated for release on Switch 2 in 2026.
