This partnership followed their September 30 unveiling of a new Spider-Man identity, distinct from Peter Parker, for the collaboration, which was initially announced at San Diego Comic-Con in July to consist of five new manga titles. On September 29, Kadokawa Corporation and COVER Corporation revealed "Odekake Hololive" as the official title for hololive's first TV anime project during a livestream celebrating hololive's 10th anniversary, where they also showed a teaser visual and announced cast and staff. Earlier, on September 25, Kadokawa Corporation cancelled plans to donate funds to Bunri Sato Gakuen for the establishment of a new school and modifications to the founders of certain existing schools.
