LAIKA Studios partnered with Voodoo Doughnut for a limited-edition Wildwood Wild Berry Doughnut, available from October 7 through October 28, ahead of the film’s October 23 theatrical release. Previously, on October 5, the animation studio prepared to release "Wildwood," an adaptation of Colin Meloy’s 2011 fantasy novel, described as its most ambitious project yet. Directed by LAIKA President and CEO Travis Knight from a screenplay by Chris Butler, the film brings the story to life through stop-motion detail. On October 1, Decca Records announced it would release the 26-track "Wildwood Soundtrack" on October 23, featuring the original score and the original song “The Better Part of Bravery” by The Decemberists. Earlier, on September 24, LAIKA’s "Wildwood" was set to open the 40th AFI Fest, presented by Canva, on October 21, marking the film's U.S. premiere. This followed the studio's release of the final trailer for the hand-crafted fantasy adventure and the start of ticket sales on September 17, ahead of its October 23 theatrical debut through Fathom Entertainment.
