On August 19, the studio released the full-length trailer for *Wildwood*, a sweeping darkly magical adventure directed by Travis Knight, which Fathom Events will distribute in theaters starting October 23. Earlier, on August 14, Rizzoli Universe announced it would publish *The Art of Wildwood*, a hardcover volume described as the only publication accompanying Laika’s "most ambitious film to date," on October 6, 2026. This follows the studio's debut of the official key art for the stop-motion fantasy feature on August 10. Directed by Travis Knight from Colin Meloy's middle-grade novel, *Wildwood* marks Knight's return to animation direction after a 10-year gap since 2016's *Kubo and the Two Strings* and represents Laika's first time utilizing a non-traditional distribution path, with Fathom Entertainment handling US distribution and FilmNation Entertainment selling internationally.
