In December 2025, Xilam partnered with film production and distribution outfit UGC to adapt Bernard Werber’s bestselling novel *Empire of the Ants* into a family-oriented series. This adaptation will blend live-action for the human narrative with visual effects for the ant world, featuring Vladimir Haulet as writer and Nicolas Deveaux alongside Quentin Reubrecht leading VFX direction. Earlier, on September 25, 2025, Xilam Animation reported its half-year earnings ended June 30, 2025, with sales dropping to EUR 4.21 million from EUR 11.59 million a year prior, and revenue decreasing to EUR 6.05 million from EUR 13.88 million.
