Lemon Studios

Lemon Studios, also known as Lemon Films, is a privately owned Mexican film and television studio headquartered in Mexico City, Mexico. Founded in 2003, the company operates with approximately 100 employees. Initially focused on revitalizing domestic cinematic genres, the studio produced horror and action films such as Kilómetro 31 and Matando Cabos. In 2018, the company rebranded to reflect its expansion into multi-platform episodic television, theatrical stage productions, and alternative media markets, functioning as a media managed services provider. It was the first Mexican production house to secure an International Emmy Award for its work on HBO’s Sr. Ávila. Its intellectual property library includes over-the-top streaming and network titles such as Netflix’s Monarca and Control Z, the Apple TV+ period drama Women in Blue (Las Azules), and the feature film After Lucia (Después de Lucía), which received international recognition at the Cannes Film Festival.
