Lemon Studios, also known as Lemon Films, is a privately owned Mexican film and television studio headquartered in Mexico. Founded in 2003, the company employs approximately 100 individuals and reported $10.9M in revenue as of 2024. The company specializes in media managed services and functions as a high-concept entertainment producer, initially focusing on revitalizing domestic cinematic genres, producing horror and action films such as Kilómetro 31 and Matando Cabos. In 2018, the company rebranded as Lemon Studios to reflect its strategic diversification into multi-platform episodic television, theatrical stage productions, and alternative media markets. It secured an International Emmy Award for its work on HBO’s Sr. Ávila. Its intellectual property library encompasses over-the-top streaming and network titles, including Netflix’s Monarca and Control Z, the Apple TV+ period drama Women in Blue (Las Azules), and the feature film After Lucia (Después de Lucía), which achieved international recognition at the Cannes Film Festival.
