O2 Filmes, also known as O2 Filmes Ltda., is a privately owned company headquartered in Vila Leopoldina, São Paulo, Brazil, with a regional production hub in Rio de Janeiro. Founded in 1991 by filmmaker Fernando Meirelles alongside partners Paulo Morelli and Andrea Barata Ribeiro, the company operates as an independent Brazilian film studio, media conglomerate, and advertising production firm, with approximately 530 employees. Its main product is media managed services. O2 Filmes is known for orchestrating the structural and creative renaissance of Brazilian film and maintains a multi-genre intellectual property library that includes over 30 feature films, dozens of television series, and more than 9,000 commercial campaigns. Its entertainment catalog features the four-time Academy Award-nominated City of God (Cidade de Deus) and its Max continuation series City of God: The Fight Goes On, as well as titles such as Blindness, Wagner Moura's Marighella, Alex Moratto's 7 Prisoners, Cangaço Novo (Prime Video), Brotherhood (Irmandade) (Netflix), and Maldivas.
