In one instance, they worked alongside BUF MPC Mathematic Light on a project that showcased their collective strengths, particularly in environmental work and digital matte painting. Mac Guff's expertise was further recognized when Illumination Studios acquired its animation division, leading to the creation of Illumination Mac Guff. This collaboration resulted in successful productions such as Despicable Me 2. Additionally, Mac Guff Ligne took on the animation for an updated adaptation of Jules Verne's classic novel, Around The World in Eighty Days. Despite the unfortunate closure of several animation studios in recent years, Mac Guff, along with Buf and Mikros, has emerged as a prominent player in feature productions.
