This followed their agreement on June 23 to develop an integrated urban center in Mada City, east of Cairo, which will include residential, commercial, hospitality, and business facilities across more than 2.3 million square meters. Earlier on June 22, the Dubai-based conglomerate confirmed the 2.32 million square meter project in Mada City New Cairo, stating it would involve building 6,000 homes and a mixed-use complex under a deal projected to exceed $4 billion upon completion. The partnership for the $3.1 billion urban development, comprising residential, commercial, and tourist projects spanning 553 feddans (574 acres), was initially signed on June 21. Midar CEO Ayman El-Kousy indicated the development is expected to generate between 200 billion and 250 billion Egyptian pounds ($4 billion to $5 billion) in revenue over 15-20 years.
