The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club is a privately owned professional ice hockey team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. They compete in the American Hockey League (AHL) as the primary development affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team was founded in 1996 and has played its home games at the Canada Life Centre since 2004. The Moose have won two AHL championships, in 1999 and 2018. The team is currently owned by True North Sports & Entertainment, which also owns the Winnipeg Jets.
