MD Entertainment, also known as PT Multi Dimensia Entertainment, is a privately owned Indonesian media conglomerate and entertainment company headquartered in Setiabudi, South Jakarta. Founded in 2002, the company was established in March 2003 by industry veterans Manoj Punjabi and his father, Dhamoo Punjabi, following their departure from Multivision Plus. It operates with an estimated 440 employees and reported $28.7M in revenue as of 2024. The company also functions as a tier 2 media tech buyer. It specializes in content rights, operating under a fully integrated entertainment infrastructure that controls a production network spanning feature films, prime-time television soap operas (sinetron), over-the-top streaming series, musical recordings, and 3D animation. In August 2018, its theatrical distribution arm, PT MD Pictures Tbk, achieved a corporate milestone by becoming the first film production entity to launch an initial public offering on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Its intellectual property portfolio features over 200 films and more than 14,000 hours of television broadcasting, anchored by box-office milestones such as Ayat-Ayat Cinta, the Habibie & Ainun biographical franchise, the Danur horror universe, and KKN di Desa Penari (KKN: Curse of the Dancing Village), which set the record as the highest-grossing Indonesian film in domestic cinematic history.
