News Summary:

MEO reported second-quarter 2024 revenue of EUR 695 million, a 4.6 percent year-over-year increase (4.9 percent excluding Altice Labs). This increase resulted from a 4.8 percent improvement in the Consumer Segment and a 4.5 percent increase in the Business Services Segment. However, EBITDA decreased by 1.1 percent to EUR 244 million, while total investments increased by 3.1 percent to EUR 97 million. In the first half of 2024, MEO reported revenues of EUR 1.392 billion, a 3.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, with EBITDA reaching EUR 488 million, representing a 3.4 percent decline. Approximately 800 workers joined a severance program in July 2024, adding to the 200 who had previously agreed to leave. Additionally, Altice Portugal is transferring operations of five companies with roughly 1500 employees to MEO as part of a restructuring effort.
