Meruelo Media

Meruelo Media, a Privately Owned company headquartered in the United States, was founded in 2011. The company operates with approximately 90 employees, specializing in broadcast television and radio, functioning as a tier 1 media tech buyer. Meruelo Media's assets include broadcast properties such as POWER 106, 95.5 KLOS FM, 93.9 CALI FM, 93.5 KDAY + KDEY FM, 22 KWHY-TV, and 63 KBEH-TV, along with studios and digital operations. An affiliate of Meruelo Group acquired KWHY-TV in Los Angeles, one of the oldest independent Spanish-language television stations in the U.S., in 2011. In 2012, Meruelo formed its Media Group and added the cable channel, Super 22. The company expanded into radio in 2014 with the acquisition of KDAY 93.5 in Los Angeles and KDEY in San Bernardino-Riverside, California, also completing the construction of the Meruelo Broadcast and Studios Center in mid-Wilshire, Los Angeles, which became a production facility for 20th Television’s various productions for the FOX Station Group in 2016. In 2017, Meruelo Media further expanded its television operations with the acquisition of the full power Los Angeles TV station KBEH channel 63 and its radio holdings with the acquisition of the English language FM radio station in Los Angeles, KPWR “Power 106.” These properties provide options for marketing, advertising, and messaging in Southern California.
