This merger occurred sometime before the Los Angeles Times named Hernand among 2025’s “Entertainment Business Visionaries” for his work representing clients in transformative deals, which also included advising Vice Media on the sale of Refinery29 and the relaunch of its digital brands through a joint venture with Savage Ventures. Hernand joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP's Los Angeles office in 2024.
