This followed the February 20 indoor track and field team's split competition at the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame and the Wittenberg Invite, where multiple RedHawks, including Zubillaga and Heil who placed fifth and sixth in the mile, added their names to top-10 lists. The Department of Athletics also saw changes in its Sport and Facility Services on February 5, with Darrell Hallberg, Associate Athletic Director for SFS, announcing Jake Warnke's appointment as Assistant AD for Apparel Equipment and Operations for SFS and Zac Collin's promotion to Director of Sport and Facility Services.
