On September 9th, 2024, a partnership between the Buffalo Bills and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment was announced. The partnership, announced by Bills Limited Partner Vince Carter, Bills Legend Doug Flutie, and Bills EVP & COO Pete Guelli, aims to grow football in the Canadian market. Separately, the City of Toronto and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment hosted a media tour on an unspecified date to highlight completed Phase 1 improvements at Toronto Stadium at Exhibition Place in preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Guelli expressed optimism about the possibility of future Buffalo Bills games in Toronto.
