Montecable

Montecable, legally operating as Monte Cablevideo S.A., is a privately owned company headquartered in Uruguay. Functioning as a tier 1 media tech buyer, the company was founded in 1995 and has an estimated 50 employees. Specializing in telecoms, Montecable is a commercial subscription television operator and cable provider that launched during the mid-1990s as private cable licensing rolled out across Montevideo. The enterprise is co-owned by the media families behind the free-to-air network Canal 4, and operates as one of Montevideo's "big three" independent cable systems alongside TCC and Nuevo Siglo. Montecable manages hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) networks to deliver high-definition digital television channels, specialized sports packages, and residential connection infrastructure to a domestic market share.
