National Museum of Korea, a state-owned entity based in South Korea, was founded in 1945. The museum functions as the flagship institution for Korean history and art, undertaking various studies and research activities in archaeology, history, and art while developing a range of exhibitions and education programs. It relocated to Yongsan District, Seoul in 2005 and opened a new branch inside Incheon International Airport on June 24, 2021.
