It delivers communications, energy, safety, security, and digital solutions across 54 African countries, with a footprint in 16 and regional headquarters in South, East, and West Africa. NEC XON is also a level 1-certified broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) business.
On April 29, 2026, Pace Digitek, alongside its subsidiary Lineage Power (LPPL), confirmed an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnership with NEC XON South Africa. Under this agreement, NEC XON will market, distribute, and deploy Pace Digitek's product portfolio, which includes grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) and related energy solutions, throughout South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, and Mauritius. This partnership, also reported on April 28, represents Pace Digitek's first structured entry into sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, on April 27, the alliance was highlighted for its focus on deploying grid-scale storage solutions to support renewable integration and address power deficits across Africa. This strategic move to enter emerging African energy storage markets was initially noted on April 26.
