Northern Arizona University (NAU) is a state-owned public research university founded in 1899. Headquartered in the United States, NAU's main product is higher education. The university employs approximately 6,120 people.
Researchers at Northern Arizona University developed a nationwide database, the Treatment and Wildfire Interagency Geodatabase (TWIG), to assess the effectiveness of fuel treatments in reducing wildfire risk. This database compiles decades of fuel treatment records and wildfire data from across the United States into an interactive platform. Separately, photography professors at Northern Arizona University will present an exhibit showcasing their work as artists, documentarians, and storytellers. The exhibit will open this month.
